Bill was a legend, proper old school 5 star service. Extended our hire as we didn’t realise it would’ve been the same price + even helped us out when we were in a pickle with our flight home. Highly recommend!

Great experience! A true local, everything well organised and on time. Still a laid back feeling. One day rental to drive from Palm Cove to Port Douglas. We knew we might need the car a bit longer than our initial booking. Decided to drive back through Mareeba and Kuranda. Just gave them a call well before the drop off time and luckily could keep the car a bit longer - no worries.

Tracey Vince and Bill Zammit started Palm Cove Rent A Car after COVID, recognising the potential for excellent value car hire in Palm Cove, and the need to get up off our arses and do something. In November 2026 we celebrate our fifth anniversary.  We have 1 company name, and 1 phone number.

 
We are so small we don’t need an office. We meet our guests at their accommodation.  You then drive us home again. We want your stay to be as easy as possible.
 

Tracey and Bill have lived in Palm Cove for nearly 30 years, and are veterans of the tourism industry.
